Our Favorite Visitors

Val, Jeff and fam came for a short visit for their spring break - we love, love, love it when they come down. I forgot to take pictures when Ryans family all got together, so I stole this one off of Val's page. Shaylee and Lilly are only two weeks apart, and so cute together. I wish we could have done more while they were here, guess you guys are going to have to come back soon!

The Living Planet Aquarium

We visited to the Living Planet Aquarium last week. We were so happy that Kersten and Sierra met us there, we had so much fun. It is definitely worth a visit if you haven't been there. Shaylee loved the "feeshhh" and Sierra was happy to tell her all about them as well as the spider. They had a blast together, I wish they could play more. It is so fun now that Shaylee is older and we can do "big girl stuff".

Better Late Then Never...

This post is a little late, but definitly worth mentioning! Ryan and I FINALLY got to go skiing/boarding on Valentines day. This is only worth mentioning because we used to go at least once a weekend before we had Shaylee! We have made plans to go every weekend ALL winter long with something coming up everytime! Good thing we didn't spring for the season passes...

We had a great time as usual, it is one of the things we really enjoy doing with eachother. Plus... it may be the one thing I am just a little better at... :)

St. George

Spring has sprung! I love the energy that comes with spring! I can't wait to get out of the house and do something! It is also the only time of year that I am actually excited to exercise, which comes and goes in about two weeks. HA! We had a great time this last weekend in St. George, it was sunny, beautiful and WARM. My uncle was nice enough to invite us (my mom, shaylee and I) down for the weekend, as well as my uncle, cousin, grandma, and grandpa. Ryan had to work, he was bummed he had to miss out, but did manage to sneak in a day of motorcycle riding while I was gone, imagine that! We crammed in as much as we could being such a short trip, it was nice to be with my moms side of the family for something other than Christmas! My grandparents have been in Arizona all winter, they looked like Indians! We went shopping, played cards, went hiking, ate out - - the usual Vaca stuff. Thanks for the great time Scott and Kersten!

I thought we needed a four generation picture while we were there, we took about 10 and this is the only one Shaylee is half-way smiling in!

Shaylee had a blast with the "BAT!" she found, she hit everyone at least 100 times during the weekend, she thought she was soooo hilarious!

Tonsillectomy = No Fun

I had my tonsils removed last Friday (February 20th), and I am STILL, yes STILL on the couch! I had no idea what the surgery entailed before this! My diet has consisted of Custard (thanks mom), pudding, and ice chips....I wouldn't suggest it! I am SO craving anything that's solid! Poor Ryan has waited on me hand and foot for well over a week, and that is hard for anyone to handle! He also had his birthday last week and I didn't have time to go get him a gift before because Shaylee had Pneumonia, so he celebrated his 28th birthday with no party, no presents, not even a flipping card! Pooooooor guy! We will have to make it up to him next year!

Oh Boy...25!

I had a awesome 25th birthday this year, saying your a quarter-or-a-century old seems strange! To start things off, some of my best pals took me out to dinner. We always have such a great time, three hours goes by and you feel like you have been there 20 minutes! We laugh and tell old stories, it is so nice to have friends like that! Thanks for thinking of me guys!

I gave Ryan a trip to Vegas for Christmas, so we decided to go down last weekend. We were really excited to have some couple time, we definitly don't have as much time together as we would like. We cramed alot into our "mini-vaca", but were in bed by 10:30 the first night renting a movie... lamo! The next night we met another couple from Utah who wouldn't let us go to bed or else we probably would have been in bed at the same time!

When we got home, my mom made me a birthday dinner, she is so great. Shaylee and her made me a Birthday cake and card, Shaylee was so proud!

January

Where did January go?! It is usually the s.l.o.w.e.s.t month of the year for us, but seemed to speed by this year. We took full advantage of any sunny day in January just to soak in a little sun, the inversions get so depressing! Shaylee loves to be outside, just like her dad. We all have spring fever!

Jason turned 23 on the 27th, he wanted to try out the new Texas Roadhouse in Centerville - - their ribs are awesome. It was a low key birthday for him this year compared to the "white trash" party we threw him for his 22nd birthday!

Ryan finally finished our new bathroom, it looks great. I can't believe someone can be a perfect tile-er on their first try! He has a great eye for picking things out too; he goes in, picks out something fast and is out of there in 15 minutes... When I go to Home Depot, I stare and stare and stress and stress about my selection and then finally leave empty handed. I am amazed that he did a complete (perfect) remodel on the bathroom and I can't even hang a freaking picture straight!

Shaylee's new favorite thing is popcorn, she can eat almost half the bowl all by herself. She had this piece of popcorn stuck on her head for about 10 minutes, guess she is more like her mom then we thought... :) She is such a sweetheart!
