Summer 2009

Does anyone really have time to blog in the summer? We have been so BUSY trying to hang on to whats left of summer, with no time left to archive them...boo. Here is a brief rundown of our 2009 summer highlights. I still need to blog about our annual Lyman Lake trip, but thought the post was already long enough! I hope everyone has had a happy, safe summer, here's to holding on to it for a least one more month!

=Yuba camping trip: This is the first year we have done this trip, but this group goes every year, hopefully we can be part of the tradition. We had a blast, especially on the girls tube ride, I think we had seven girls on two tubes, jumping back and forth.

=Lava Hot Springs: We went with some of our best friends - Steve, Samara, and Brooklyn. We camped out at a cool RV park, rafted down the river on tubes, learned how to dutch-oven, went to the big pool, and had a relaxing fun time. Samara and I tried to make Max look "cool" with a mo-halk, poor poor Max just looked scalped. Poor boy.
Shaylee is really into how she dresses lately, below is her outfit she HAD to go to the pool in... geez. This girl never leaves the house without some sort of funky shoes and/or hat... oh and her purse of course! I think I'm in trouble. (You can also see Max's embarrassing haircut in that picture.)

=Indigo Girls Concert:

=Lagoon: Shaylee LOVED Lagoon! She could ride nearly every ride in kiddy land and had a HUGE smile the whole time. This was Grandma Judy's idea, and it was very much appreciated by her little bug. :)

=Fun in the Sun - - Lots of boating trips: Our favorite thing to do! I wish July happened three times a year, it is the best boating month of the year. Shaylee is now a professional tuber and has been tubing with me, her dad, and Uncle Jason. Ryan even went on his annual "boys boating trip" they had a great time!

=Kenny Chesney and Suite Night: I had a lot of Hilton points from traveling for work, so I cashed them in for a sweet suite at the downtown Hilton for our 6th anniversary. This is the only pic we got at the concert, I wish I would have taken some of the suite, it was like a big, fancy condo! One could definitely get used to that! We had a great anniversary.

=Our Hill Billy Pool: We got a cheap over-sized inflatable pool, and LOVED it. Ryan even chlorinated it.. HA! We lounged in it every spare second we had this summer, loving it just as much as if it were a real one!

=July Fireworks: It is probably safe to say that Chloe and Maddy (our next door neighbors) are Shaylees very favorite people in the world, we got to share in their fireworks this year.
