Easter 2009

Easter is so much more fun with kids, Shaylee was very into "EGG!" hunting this year. She loved every part of it, from dying Easter eggs to finding them to opening her basket from the Easter "Buhnnny".

We went camping over Easter weekend to the Pony Express Trail. I finally got to spend some time with one of my best pals Samara, she had lil' Brooklyn about three months ago and has been busy being a new mom. It was fun sharing Brooklyn's first Easter with them.

Shaylee woke up before us Easter morning and went back to play on her bunk, where all of her toys are. Ryan and I thought it was great she was playing so that we could sleep a little longer, but I forgot that I left my make-up bag on her bunk the night before. This is what we woke up to with a tug on the bed... lesson learned!

We did the traditional Easter morning basket and hunt with Kayden, Shaylees other little boyfriend...she has quite a few now.

My mom did Easter dinner and an Easter egg hunt for Shaylee on Monday, Shaylee had a blast and the food was great! Thanks mom! :)

Britney

I went to the Britney concert with some of my best friends from high school, Donell and Alicia. It was a TON of fun, aside from the obvious lip-syncing, she put on an awesome show... or circus!

We went to the Melting Pot for Dinner (a first for all of us) I would definitely suggest it; great atmosphere, food, and friends. I did however manage to dump my entire glass of wine down the front of me, perfect for having to go to a concert right after! HA!

The First Race 2009

We went to Tracy, California this past weekend to the first hillclimb of the Season. This was Ryan's first time competing since he broke his foot at this same hillclimb two years ago {I was very nervous}. Despite all my worries, he did great. He made it look like he had never even broke his foot, I am very proud of him. Jason also did awesome winning 1st place in the verticross class.

The first hillclimb is always the best because you get to see all your buddies after a loooooong winter. My mom and I also love the shopping in Tracy, CA. and we did a lot of it!

Shaylee was pretty proud that she had her very own "big girl bed", she would even go over to the bed with "blank" and say, "ni-night!" and fake yawn just to get in bed - It was so cute! She also LOVED swimming with Grandpa Jeff, Uncle Jason, and Dad, she scares me because she shows no fear, she loves water.
.
The only bad part was the long drive with Shaylee, she is so high maintenance! I was constantly grabbing crackers, candy, putting in movies, making her sock puppet shows, getting her chocolate milk, playing "boo" - - Geez it was a lot of work!

Our Favorite Visitors

Val, Jeff and fam came for a short visit for their spring break - we love, love, love it when they come down. I forgot to take pictures when Ryans family all got together, so I stole this one off of Val's page. Shaylee and Lilly are only two weeks apart, and so cute together. I wish we could have done more while they were here, guess you guys are going to have to come back soon!
